Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician who lived from 569-470 B.C. (see the picture below), is often described as the originator of much of the science of numerology today. However, the truth is that the science of Numerology is longer considered as a branch part of academic mathematics. And the origins of the Numerology appear to predate Pythagoras. The exact origins of modern Numerology are unclear, and can be related to various old cultures (China, Egypt, Greece, India, Rome, etc).
